With the City Council’s adoption of Ordinance No. 592U and Resolution No. 2016-57 on December 20th, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has banned the operation and advertisement of short-term rentals (i.e., rentals of less than 30 days’ duration) in the City’s single-family and multi-family neighborhoods. Violations of this ban may be subject to fines of $2,500 for the first citation, $5,000 for the second citation and $7,500 for the third citation.
